What are Small
Groups?
Some of you might
know them as Cell Groups - they are groups of people
who meet together during the week, in addition to
the Sunday service, to fellowship, study, support
each other and pray together, and in doing so deepen
their relationship with God.
Why become a
member of a Small Group?
In a growing church,
it is important that we remember to deepen
relationships together and build those strong
foundations. Small Groups are a fundamental part of
our growth together.
Each group meets together to study God’s word,
discussing this together and praying together.
All the groups study the same material which gives
real unity to our walk together as the Body of
Christ.
When and where do
they take place?
They take place
throughout the week in various homes/venues. There
are many Small Groups to choose from dotted in and
around Ashford. Some meet during the day and others
in the evenings (Mon-Thurs) and as a church we
actively encourage everyone to become a member of a
small group. The details of the groups are on the
Small Groups board at the back of the church.
How do I join a
Small Group?
If you would like to
join a Small Group….maybe you are new to the
fellowship and would like to meet people at WBC, or
are an existing member of the church who feels God’s
prompting to meet with others in a Small Group, then
please do get in touch with Teresa Butcher (Small
Group Coordinator), Brian Forde (Small Groups Team),
our Pastor, or someone on the Leadership Team, who
will be very happy to help you find a group.
